Midlet icon does not appear in simulator

Dear All,

I am using BlackBerry Plug-in for Eclipse v3.6.0 to develop java midlet application. In the Application Descriptor, I specify as follow :-

Title : MyAppName

Version:1.0.0

Vendor: Nikorn

Description: A game.

Application type: MIDlet

Name of main MIDlet class: -

Home screen position:0

Startup tier: 7

Uncheck the Do not display the application icon box

Uncheck the International resource box

Add 2 identical icon size of 32x32 png, one for default, one for roll over

Then I run the application, it appears in the simulator with a blank icon( the BB default icon) instead of my supplied icon. However the application runs ok.

When I add my application name to the  Name of MIDlet class line as

Name of main MIDlet class : MyAppName

and leave all other fields the same and re-run the applcation. My icon appears in the simulator, but when I try to open the application, the simulator return the message of Uncaught exception: MIDlet no found.exception MyAppName.

I need your advice of how to have the icon of a MIDlet application to appear in the simulator and to have the application run ok?

Best regards,

Nikorn L.

Re: Midlet icon does not appear in simulator

Dear all,

I have found the solution. The midlet name has to be qualified with the package name.

Please use plain text.
