Unfortunately, this new plug-in is still 32-bit !?![]()
I noticed that to be able to run simulator in debug mode on Win7-64
I had to close almost all my windows apps and cleanup memory with some tools.
Otherwise after a very lengthy attempt to "establish connection" I've got error already mentioned on this forum.
Any rumors/gossips on the 64-bit environment?
I mean, BB10 environment is also a 32-bit one!?

Glad to see fresh plugin coming with automatic downloading of debug files, and the "don't ask me again" feature about missing debug files :-)
Thanks

Just an FYI, I've been using this for developing on simulators after moving to a win7/64 machine (See my post 'Windows 7 Developing'). The speed is terrific and I can finally get a respectable amount of work done. The only issue I run into is that after performing lots of code changes and hot-swaps, I will encounter a 'Java Heap Space' error. At that point I just exit Eclipse and start over. I never encountered this on my XP machine though. It is not a show stopper. Some sort of leak perhaps? Thanks to all for their assistance.
PS: I agree about the '3.6'. That threw me a curve when I did the install.

I think it's a bit misleading to have the update site with 3.6 in it:
http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.6/java as the new plugin runs in 3.7 now.
Agreed. We'll be updating that link soon. ![]()
