Good morning all,
First off I wanted to say i'm looking forward to joining in the discussion. Up until now we've been developing without any interaction with other developers and development companies. Hopefully we have lots of information to lend to the discussions and will learn some in the meantime.
Second, I'm not sure how many are aware, but there is a realtime chat developer discussion going around the clock which may be of interest to some folks (in addition to these great forums of course) over at #blackberry-api on EFNet. (check out efnet.org and mirc.com if you don't know what IRC is..)
cheers,
D

Welcome, look forward to your input and thanks for the information.
However apologies, I won't be joining in, I'm not a fan of IM's, chat rooms and social networks in general. But then I'm really old school. ![]()

Thanks for the welcome. We have a number of things in development now on BlackBerry exclusively so i'm sure we'll be talking a lot more in future.
IRC (Inter Relay Chat Protocol) has been around since 1988 so you must be really old school hehe. The forums are excellent resources of information, especially on the archive search side as more than 1 person can learn the info. That being said it's sometimes nice to work through a problem in realtime when you are up against deadlines. It's also a good way to get to know others in the developer community.
See you around the forums,
D

I rather doubt that my company would be happy if I'd use IRC to work through other peoples problems in realtime.
In my freetime I rather do other things.
