Hi guys

Quick question that I couldn't find the answer to with a search:

Is it possible to:

1) Open the Twitter application with a link from my Java application?

2) Open the Twitter application at a specific profile page, with a link from my Java application?

1) you can open any application using applicationmanager.
2) no, not that i know of

Was worth a shot! 

Any ideas if similar functionality is available for the RIM Facebook app? It would be quite handy to be able to have a user click a link and see your company Facebook Page in the native app, same for the company Twitter profile page in the native app. If the native apps aren't available then fallback to the browser

Is there a Developer Issue Tracker for these native apps for requesting enhancements? I can't seem to find a suitable category

no, there are very few native apps where parameters are known (and working).

i don't think RIM will add this functionality, but feel free to try whatever you think...

RIM made a recent blog post to document how to integrate with the Twitter/Facebook native apps when using version 7.0 of the SDK

yes, a real nice addition. too bad that a baseline of 7.0 is not acceptable for most customers.
