Re: Overloading Menu Items in Mapview

Can you elaborate on the problem you are having with #1?

For #2, you can use a MapField to embed a map within your own application.

Re: Overloading Menu Items in Mapview

Thanks MSohm for the reply..

1 ) my question is can we add our own menu items to the Mapview menu list. As Mapview menu list consist of its own set of menu regarding map navigation etc..

I want to add my set of menus to the MapView menu..

Can that be possible to implement ???

2 ) Yes we can push MapField to the application screen but is the same possible using Mapview instance.. ??

Have tried doing it using MapField but it gives me static map with no panning or zoom.. Is panning possible if implemented using MapField..

Thanks..

Re: Overloading Menu Items in Mapview

By using MapView you are invoking BlackBerry Maps.  You can add your own menu item to BlackBerry Maps.  Refer to the link below for an example.

Add a custom menu item to an existing BlackBerry application

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Add-a-custom-menu-item-to-an-existing-BlackB...

You are not able to remove menu items from RIM applications.
