PasswordEditField showing the last character entered and then show *

Hello all,

I want to create a PasswordEditField which shows the last character the user entered and then converts it to '*' character so that it helps to  see user which char he/she entered. The standart PasswordEditField directly shows a ''*'  which does not give a clue what you entered.

For example like:

***s  will turn out to be ---> ****  500 ms. lateror so

How can I implement that? Any help will be appreciated.

Re: PasswordEditField showing the last character entered and then show *

overwrite editfield. add a stringbuffer for the real text and a timertask that replaces the displayed text with stars. create a second getText method that returns the real text.
