Hello everyone. I have to test my application for emails. I want to get all the emails which are configured on the blackberry device. For this I have downloaded the Blackberry Email and MDS Services Simulators 4.1.2 and followed the directions given on the link below:
Now when I try to Debug on my simulator, when the simulator strarts I try to setup an email account. I click on Setup > Email Accounts. It takes me to an Enterprise Activation screen. When I enter my details it pops up a dialog in my simulator saying:
"Activation request failes. A dervice connection is unavailable."
What should I do to setup the email account in simulator?
Thanks in advance.

This is not something I do a lot, but I think you need to start the Email Simulator rather than the BES/MDS Simulator. See this lab for details:

Thanks Peter. Sending mails is not an issue. I first want to configure/setup email on my Blackberry Simulator to test my application. How can I do this?

I knew that but I thought that the article would prompt you to do some research on the ESS. You can use the Search functions on this forum and elsewhere to find out more.
The best link here appears to be:
But it appears the KB articles have not made it over to the new KB so the links don't work. I will follow this up. But the Thread is still of interest I believe.
So perhaps this will help.

Otherwise search, there are a number of related Threads that I think will help you.
