Re: Problem with POST when using HttpsConnection

Do you know the configuration of the MDS when running the code on a device?

You should compare configuration of the MDS installed on your local machine with the one used by your device.

To be honest I dont have clue where to exactly look at, but it sounds like a configuration problem.

In general the MDS on your local machine is less restrictive compared to a productive installation.

For detailed information about the MDS configuration contact the MDS administrator (if known) or your blackberry contact person.

To be honest I am out off tricks...

Bye

Re: Problem with POST when using HttpsConnection

hy chhavi,

if you installed the BB JDE the mds will be located in:

C:/Program Files/Research in Motion/Blackberry JDE 4.5.0/MDS/onfig

As you can see I installed the BB JDE 4.5 (its not the Eclipse Plugin)

The MDS is a server so you will not find it on your device.

When you start the browser on the device and request a site like www.google.com the request is first passed to the MDS which contacts the web server. The web servers response is passed through the MDS to the device.

Again contact the admin of the mds or your blackberry contact person (whom had sent you the code signature files).

Please search blackberrys knowledge base for detailed information about the blackberry infrastructure.

bye

Re: Problem with POST when using HttpsConnection

Hi,

I am also getting the same error only in CDMA networks. My application works fine on GSM networks

Do you have the answer for this ?

I am able to send small chunks of image upto 9kb, but if I tried to send greater than 9kb.

Then I am getting exception at outputStream.flush( )

Thanks in advance.

Re: Problem with POST when using HttpsConnection

Hi Chavi,

Can you please elaborate on how are you converting the image into Base64? I couldnt find anything within the BB api to acheive this.

Re: Problem with POST when using HttpsConnection

Check the code already posted in this thread  ....

image_data is image in byte array format.

Check EncodedImage and Base64OutputStream classes for more info.

String stringImage=null;
//enode the image data by the Base64 algorithm
stringImage = Base64.encode(image_data);

My Device: Torch9800

Torch9800 is not charging

Since temperature soured above 40 degree Celsius in Delhi last week I find my Torch9800 is not charging properly.

The bolt sign comes and goes, the best I got was 50% after I took it to service centre and they reloaded the software.

This is 18 months old. I have tried charging on wall plug and through PC both failed. I use genuine cables and can otherwise connect to PC to interface with BB software to synch.

Please help.
