The problem is caused by the fact that the application has started and trying to read the JAD information before it has been saved on the BlackBerry and only occurs the first time the application is run.  The work around is to put a small delay (sleep) in the application before reading the code module and JAD information.

With 1 second delay it woks perfectly.
