Reading SMS from Inbox.

Hello All,

I gone through following link,

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=java_dev&message.id=1150&query.id=227...

for reading SMS form inbox, but it is not possible to read SMS from inbox, but is there any workaround for that? means SMS are stored somewhere in device, can we access SMS data from device?

Also, i want to know that count of SMS send/receive.

Regards,

Shekhar.

Re: Reading SMS from Inbox.

You can add a menu item to the Messages program, so that the user can select your menu item when he has an SMS highlighted or opened.

See the API docs for ApplicationMenuItem and ApplicationMenuItemRepository.

The SMS will be passed to you as the "Object context" parameter in the Menu item "run" method.

Re: Reading SMS from Inbox.

The context object *is* the message.

The object should be an implementation of javax.wireless.messaging.Message

(either a TextMessage or BinaryMessage).
