Hello folks,

I would like to know what is the maximum size of HTTP request object  that we can send to any web service or URL?

Thanks,

Re: Request object Limit on Blackberry devices

There is no limitation on sending.

Only for receiving:

Re: Request object Limit on Blackberry devices

Do you mean that it same for HTTPConnection object also?

Why because, if it exceeds 64KB limit then I am getting error. Otherwise application is working fine.

Thanks

Re: Request object Limit on Blackberry devices

Hi

I guess that link discuss about downloading the content using Blacberry Internet browser.

My requirement is to upload the content using RIM/J2ME network API  in my application.

I am always getting network timeout error if size exceeds 64KB.

Thanks

Re: Request object Limit on Blackberry devices

There is limitation for all connectivity. The links also applies for Java applications.

Are you using BES or BIS? On a BES the limit is often much lower then with internet service

Re: Request object Limit on Blackberry devices

Hi

From my blackberry device I am sending audio stream content to webservice tht is hosted on MS IIS server.

And to connect to webservice I am using direct TCP connection and not thru BIS/BES services.
