Resources files and the JDE plugin-in for Eclipse

I'm using the JDE plugin-in for Eclipse and can't get resource files properly placed in the resulting jar/cod.

My project source tree looks something like this:

src/com/acme/App.java

src/com/acme/data.txt

I need the resulting jar/cod to look like the following so I can use getClass().getResourceAsStream("data.txt") :

com/acme/App.class

com/acme/data.txt

but the plugin produces this:

com/acme/App.class

src/com/acme/data.txt

I can fix this in my build scripts but can't figure out a way to get the eclipse plug-in to do it.

Re: Resources files and the JDE plugin-in for Eclipse

I haven't been able to reproduce this.  In my sample project, src was not appended to the path.  Are you using the beta 2 release (version 1.0.0.50)?

Re: Resources files and the JDE plugin-in for Eclipse

Mark,

Yes, I am using beta 2 release (version 1.0.0.50).

I can send you the project files if interested. (don't see a way to upload files on this site)

Note that the data.txt file DOES get put into the right place in the bin/ folder

[mpv]$find bin/
bin/
bin/com
bin/com/acme
bin/com/acme/App.class
bin/com/acme/data.txt

but is incorrect in the jar/cod

[mpv]$ jar tf TestBbPrj.jar

META-INF/
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
TestBbPrj.cod
TestBbPrj.cso
com/
com/acme/
com/acme/App.class
src/
src/com/
src/com/acme/
src/com/acme/data.txt
