Run Application on BlackBerry 8700

Hi,

Kindly let know the steps to run an application, say Hello World, on BlackBerry 8700. I've got the BlackBerry device manager and have installed it on my PC.

Re: Run Application on BlackBerry 8700

Use BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Add/Remove Applications .. you need two files .cod and .alx files for installing the application on your device ..

Re: Run Application on BlackBerry 8700

are you using JDE or eclipse? if you are using JDE, just right click your project then at the bottom of the menu, click on "Generate alx".

you can also load it using javaloader.

go to the Command prompt and execute

javaloader -usb load <filename.cod>

or  you use your jad.

Re: Run Application on BlackBerry 8700

I'm using eclipse..

What i've tried doing is transfer the .jar file in the handset using the Media Manager. Now when I try to open the file, it says "Download Failed" with the details as "907 Invalid JAR, Descriptor missing required attribute MIDlet -1"
