SMS Message.getTimestamp()

I am using the Message.getTimestamp() method to return the time an SMS message was sent. Does anyone know what this date and time actually is?

I am assuming this method returns the timestamp contained in the message string (from the senders SMS Messaging Centre), and not the timestamp that the blackberry SMS app gives to the message when it displays it?

Please use plain text.

Re: SMS Message.getTimestamp()

The date returned from Message.getTimestamp() is the date that is set by the SMSC (SMS Service Center).
