ScreenCustomization

Hi

sir i am stuck

I am trying to make aapplication in J2me technology,i am using netbeans 6.5. .

In that my aim is to provide a good look and feel for the application. But according to me when i do a form implementation we donot get any graphics object, so we dont have any control over the look and feel of the application.

Now i am trying to use SVGForms but they also seems not  to support lot of phones. because when i make a SVGForm and run on K530i it gives a application error at the time of  installation, but if i run the same jar in E51 the forms gets displayed. I want to know the reason behind the problem

I wanted to know if there is any other way by which i can customize my application and run on devices like Sony erricson , nokia , motorola ... etc

hopeing to get some reply soon

Thanks in advance

Have a nice day

Re: ScreenCustomization

Why dn't you consider developing your application using Canvas?

Re: ScreenCustomization

Thanks for your response

Sir if i make use of Canvas  implemmantation then i cant use the items provided to us by J2me ie TextField , Checkbox , etc.

I am trying to make use of these elements in the foreground and some kind of Image in the background which could give a good look and feel for the applications

This was the reason why i was trying to use SVGForm as we can append some of the SVGelements in there by which we can have access to its methods but the problem with the SVGForm is alreadybeen mentioned above.

Have a nice day

TC

Thanks in advance

Re: ScreenCustomization

If you want to go for good look and feel, it has to be on Canvas. You can implement your own Canvas based TextFields, Radiobuttons etc.. You can find some libraries on web.

Re: ScreenCustomization

hello sir

Sorry for replying late

I was searching for the libraries that u mentioned in the reply , i am sorry but i didnt find those libraries that  would provide me with the basic items needed for the implementing Form features on Canvas.

I request u to please provide me with the link from where i can download the jar file and attach it in the project and use it .

I am really thankful to u for replying me and helping me out.

Have a nice day.

Thank You
