Hi guys,
I’ve just a little question about compatibility between Smart Card reader (Bluetooth version) and BIS 2.5.

It’s possible to use Smart Card reader on a BIS environment or I need a BES server ??.
I paired SC reader and my BB 8300 (OS version: 4.5.0.x – BIS 2.5) via Bluetooth but I can’t access smartcard content from a custom application.

Some features of the BlackBerry Smart Card reader require a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. What problem are you running into?

Hi Mark,

10x for your answer. After I paired my smartcard reader and my BB, I didn't see it on my device and, I can't use my smartcard (I can't read anything on SC).

Where are you not seeing it?  Is it not listed under the paired devices under Options, Bluetooth?

Yes, I see on BT menu/options.

But like reported on RIM site, I didn't fint any "smartcard" options and, in my custom apps, I can't access to SC on BIS.

All work ok on BES environment.
