Have you had a chance to check out the BrowserFieldDemo that comes included with the Eclipse full-installer? It should be available in the following sub-folder of your installation:
The sample uses the following code to specify a URL to navigate to:
BrowserFieldRequest request = new BrowserFieldRequest("local:///index.html")
You can replace local:///index.html with your own URL to test a specific page.
I'm also curious about your reference to applicationRegistry.wait, is this a PushApplicationRegistery Object?
The best recommendation I can make would be to take this one step at a time, first getting a basic BrowserField to render your desired content; then expand further into other aspects of your application.
The choice of using a Java or WebWorks application to render web content comes down to whether you feel more comfortable in Java or HTML in essence. Also, depending on the needs of your application, certain functionality may be easier to implement depending on the approach taken.

I am having the same issue as above. I'm developing an app using BB plugin for eclipse. The one simulator that came with it is for the bold. My app creates a browser field, request url is www.google.ca and then i add it to my screen.
When i load my simulator, i get a java.lang.runtimeException of "applicationRegistry.wait (some hex chars) timeout".
Not sure what the issue is. My program is as basic as it can get, i've tried "cleaning" the simulator but it makes no difference. Any ideas?

Also, just to mention, if i exit my app on the simulator and go back in, then it works. Just not sure why this error comes up as soon as i enter my app on the sim.
