My company is making us switch from AT+T to Sprint and I need to test my GPS application on this. I am worried, I've got the application running on AT+T and I get fixes both internal and bluetooth GPS. I got the Sprint 8330 yesterday (it is not activated yet), but I did load the application (it is signed). Problem is it gets bluetooth GPS fixes, but never gets one using the internal chip. I can't believe I need to activate the phone to get the internal chip working. I can't afford the switch only to find out I can't test GPS. Questions:
1. Is Sprint locking down GPS like Verizon does?
2. Does internal GPS need something from the network in order for the GPS to get a fix?
3. I noticed in Options->Advanced->GPS they removed the option "Refresh GPS" so I can't test GPS outside of my application, why is this?
