Storm .WAV Sound Format?

On the Storm Simulator I am playing small .wav files for small sound FX and it works fine.  On the actual device, they do not play.  I looked at the specifications and it doesn't mention that it supports .wav files at all.  Is this correct and if so, what do most developers use for small sound effects, MP3's??

Thanks

Re: Storm .WAV Sound Format?

I use MP3's - however, there is a bug in 4.7.0.75 and a few other releases of 4.7 where the the MP3 will not play. I believe this also affects the WAV files.

The bug affects wav and mp3 files. You will need to change the volume after laoding/playing the sound in order for it to be heard on the 0.75 OS. By default sounds are played through the headset from what I've read/heard.

Re: Storm .WAV Sound Format?

CMY, Just to clarify... is that change the volume on the actual device with my thumb or change the volume programmatically via code in the app one I play one sound first?

Thanks
