Hi,

I'm trying to create a video player for streaming media, and I wanted to show an overlay for a few seconds on top of the video with the video information, preferably while it's on fullscreen mode.

My question is, is this possible? and if it's, any idea how to acomplish this?

I was trying creating a manager that extendsVerticalFieldManager, and extending the sublayout method to position the video and overlay items but no success.

You mean, placing some image or text on playing video? If this is the case it is not supported as of now.

 Is it possible to do, while the video is stop? or no image/text can be place in top of the video at all?

On top of Video it is not possible, May be just try like taking a screen shot of the video in to bitmap and add or modify that image and place it on screen.
