Re: Supporting Audio or Video recording

Yes.  Audio recording has been supported for a very long time (since BlackBerry handheld software version 4.0).  Video recording is supported in version 4.3.0.

Well, I could find any clue that video recording is supported before 4.6 inclusive. But 4.6 has image capture api released.Pls confirm if I am right or not.

Re: Supporting Audio or Video recording

Just to clarify, there is no direct API to capture video.  However, you can use a FileSystemJournalListener to listen for when new files have been saved on the BlackBerry and work with them (i.e. user records and saves a video).  This is similar to the fileexplorerdemo included with the BlackBerry JDE, which does this for images.
