The problem about OS 6.0 BrowserField Font size

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I have the problem about BrowserField of Bold 9780 (OS6.0).

When I display following HTLL in Bold9780 BrowserField App,

75% and 50% of Font size(CSS)  is displayed in the same size.
12pt and 8pt are also the same.

This problem does not occur in Bold9780 native browser and Bold9700 OS5.0 (BrowserField App and native browser).

*HTML contents is below.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

What software version of 9780 have you tested (Options > Device > About Device versions)?

Was this a real device or simulator?

Re: The problem about OS 6.0 BrowserField Font size

Thanks for your reply.

I tested by real device.

OS version is below.

v6.0.0.587, (Bundle 2599, Platform 6.6.0.220)

What's the limit for webkit?

Re: The problem about OS 6.0 BrowserField Font size

Thanks.

I looked into this and it's not actually a bug, the BrowserField itself has a minimum font size set, anything lower than this font size will instead use the set minimum font size.

You can override this minimum using:

BrowserField#getRenderingOptions()#setProperty()

Using the following parameters:

RenderingOptions.CORE_OPTIONS_GUID

RenderingOptions.MINIMUM_FONT_SIZE

int yourDesiredMinimumFontSize

Re: The problem about OS 6.0 BrowserField Font size

Thanks for advice.

I tried to confirm the RenderingOption.

As hoped, the size was changed.

However, I have a concern that getRenderingOptions method is deprecated.

in any case, Thank you sincerely.

Re: The problem about OS 6.0 BrowserField Font size

Use this one........

if(DeviceInfo.getSoftwareVersion().startsWith("5.0"))
browser.displayContent("<font size=2>"+Description,"");
else
browser.displayContent("<font size=-5>"+Description,"");

it will help you much better.......
