Trouble removing app

I tried to uninstall an app im developing by going to Options->Advanced->Applications and selecing Delete from the menu. When I do this, the entire device restarts. When it finishes startup, my application is gone from the Application list. However, I can still run it from the home screen.

I have to use the desktop manager to remove the application, and the first time usually fails.

I've seen this now on an 8300 and 8320. The app was compiled with JDE 4.2, so that should not be a problem

Re: Trouble removing app

How are you installing the app on the device?

You may see problems like this if you use javaloader.

I suggest you try the following:

Options-->Advanced-->Applications, then use the menu to select Modules.  In the list that appears, delete the modules that are specific to your application.

[ Edited ]

I am loading it via the desktop manager or OTA.

After some testing, it seems that the cause has something to do with my use of persistent storage. I will try to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Edit: Problem solved. I forgot to commit my data after setting it. PersistentObject.commit(data);
