Tunnel failed exception.

When I power a Curve 9380 off, remove the battery and power the phone on again, my application fails to make a network connection via the TCP_CELLULAR transport.

When I disabled and enabled the Cellular Transport from the device home screen, the connection succeeds. The application runs on other phones and simulators.

The attempt listener first calls the attemptFailed method and passes a "Tunnel Failed" exception then the ConnectionFactory returns a null descriptor.

The application is build using JDK 5.0.

My questions:

Why is the transport failing when it is available and in coverage?

How do I discover what causes the ConnectionFactory to return a null ConnectionDescriptor?

Re: Tunnel failed exception.

i don't think you can do much there, sounds like a device error.
maybe try upgrading its OS.

Simon, thank you for the reply. How can I confirm this with BlackBerry?

Re: Tunnel failed exception.

well, you could open an issue in JIRA on https://www.blackberry.com/jira/secure/Dashboard.jspa
i would not expect much reaction though, bb java is kind of the neglected stepchild with bb10 getting it all.
