Understanding Event Logs on Blackberry device

Hi,

I was looking through the Event Logs on my blackberry handset (by using ALT +  L  G  L  G  key combination) but I'm unable to understand the logs properly. Is there any documentation regarding Event Logging?

Actually I want to determine the type of network connection (TCP-IP / BIS / BES / WAP / WiFi) made by application at run-time by looking at the Event Logs!!!

Thanks in advance...

If the application is your application, you could always use the event log and add your own entry.

Switch the Event Log's Min Log Level to Debug Info. TCP connection attempts will be logged as net.rim.tcp - open-tcpsocket://... By inspecting the URL you'll be able too tell what connection method is used.
