Update application version

Hi all,

I have an application which is installed on the device via OTA installation.

If I made a newer version of this application, can I automatically from the running application check the server for the newer version and dowload it and replace the running version with the newer one?

I need to make all this automatically without user interaction.

The user will just click check for updates.

Please, does any one knows weather this is possible or not ?

Thanks,

Re: Update application version

yes, it is. But the it would be in this way: you check for updates and if any then ask users if he wants to updated and after open bb browser from your app with the url to download your app. That will install and replace you current version.

Re: Update application version

can we do this internally without open the BB browser, download the .COD file and install it automatically?

Re: Update application version

looks like there is alternative way, more complex though, by using CodeModuleManager class.
