Blackberry Desktop Manager saves data in IPD file when we've done backup.

I myself prefer Ruby over Java.  Here in Silicon Valley, Rhomobile is getting buzz for their Rails-like cross-mobile platform.  They've got Ruby interpreters for BlackBerry, Windows, IPhone, etc.  You write the code once, and test it on every platform.  The idea is to get the productivity of Rails and MVC.  If I were new to Java and looking to get started quickly, this is where I would look [and I am].
