Wifi Radio

hi, 

 

I was wondering if there is any documentation on weather we can control the wifi radio directly ? 

 

any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

HI and welcome to the forums.

 

Have a look at the WLAN* classes for the published API to control WiFi.  I am not aware of any capabilities beyond what you see in there.

thanks... i did look at it before .. but got confused by the terminolgy ... 
HotSpotClient : 
Classes that extend the abstract class HotspotClient can register with the HotspotClientRegistry class and manage connections between the application to which they belong and the system that controls the device's Wi-Fi radio.

what do they mean by that ?? ... 
from what i understand u can only add a wlan connection ( i.e. hotspot) so that the application can use that connection .
am I right ?
