clipboard

[ Edited ]

i have a code that sets (and gets) the data in the clipboard. it's nothing fancy:

clipboard = Clipboard.getClipboard();
clipboard.put(theObject);
someClass.paste(clipboard.get());

this seemed to work ok at first. however, i tried running it as it is and then running it again with the first 2 lines commented out (i.e. the only line of code is "someClass.paste(clipboard.get());", and it doesn't work (i.e. blank clipboard data). how do i access the global clipboard?

Re: clipboard

The clipboard is blank until data is placed on it.

What were you expecting to happen?
