Is there a possibility to close a blackberry aplication from another BlackBerry application?

Also, is there a possibility to catch from an application key events that are introduced in another application?

Re: closing an application

Thank you for answering, but it is about Blackberry videocamera application. What global event should I use to close it?

You mean you like to close the device camera on some events? For this you can consider keyEvent Injection.

Check this thread too.

Re: closing an application

Thanks again, but unfortunately I forgot to mention that the videocamera is recording when I want to close it. In this case when I inject an "escape" event it stops recording and starts saving the recorded data to a memory card. The saving may take some time if the recording is large. So if it is inserted an "escape" event during saving it seems that this event is ignored. Sorry again for not mentioning the fact that the videocamera is recording when I'm trying to close it.

Re: closing an application

My guess is that you want to create an application that records a video on it's own using the BB Camera?

If yes, you should take another route and not invoke the camera, if that is possible on your target platform. You can interact with the camera directly since 4.0 I think

Re: closing an application

From what I know, I have acces to camera but I cannot record anything. I get a "null" when i try to access the RecordControl. If you have some code for this purpose, please share.

Thank you,

Re: closing an application

Recording Video is supported on OS 5.0 below versions not supported using Media API.
