Re: creating a Folder in Application

Thank you for the advice I will be joinging a java courseEarly next year but will look into the the book for now, The tutorials I wached and read spoke about the basics its just getting used to the "format", if I can call it that:smileyhappy: . Unfortunately the developer who is guiding me through my first app is currently on leave and I am seriously stuck. So back on the topic, can you maybe help me?

There are unforunately a number of ways you could have programmed your code and therefore a number of ways to resolve this issue.  I suspect that you can do this by having a global type variable, so you really need to learn about the scope of Java variables.

Here is a tutorial for that:

http://www.java-made-easy.com/variable-scope.html

And there seems to be some information regarding Objects and the way they can be used here:

http://www.otherwise.com/Lessons/index.html

I have not used either of these web sites, I don't endorse them in any way, I just did a Google Search they looked useful for you.

Shouldn't this sentence start with "There are unfortunately ..."? :smileyhappy:

Re: creating a Folder in Application

Correction accepted. :smileyhappy:   What I meant was

"There are fortunately a number of ways you could have programmed your code and therefore a number of ways to resolve this issue, which unfortunately means I can not immediately give you an answer."
