database connectivity (sql server 2008 )

Hi all ,

I need to read datas from a remote server using sql server 2008 db.

But i dont want to use BES . from the threads read from our forum i suppose

BES is a must . Am not clear with this.

can anyone help ?

If BES is not a must , then what are all the ways to access data through a blackberry

application ?

Re: database connectivity (sql server 2008 )

Hi Kirti,

First step means that,

First you have to crteate a web pageof webservice and that webservice should have a method which fetch the data from the sqlserver2008 or whatever.

Than you can call that webservices from the Blackberry application.

you have to use Ksoap2 API in your application to access that webservices.

That is the only way.

Thanks,
