eclipse plugin Linux setup

Hi,

I have installed the eclipse plugin from http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.5/java

into my eclipse 3.5.2 on Linux.

When creating a BlackBerry project I get this error:

"No BlackBerry JRE is installed. "

I choose "Configure JREs" -> "Add" -> "BlackBerry Execution Environment"

-> "Enter definition file":

/opt/eclipse/plugins/net.rim.ejde.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.21/components/BlackBerry.ee

(in this file just replace all \ to / Linux style)

But when I want to create a native BB project eclipse complains because

of missing DLLs.

Is the BB plugin against eclipse philosophy a Windows only thingi?

Emulator:

/opt/eclipse/plugins/net.rim.ejde.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.21/components/simulator> wine fledge.exe

Starts the emulator, but I have not further investigated on how to use it.

What can I do to start developing on Linux?

Thank you
Marcel

Important hint for Linux users developing portable MIDlets:

Compiling, signing, creating JAD/COD for OTA works fine with ant on my Linux box

I use the http://bb-ant-tools.sourceforge.net/ ant plugin for all tasks

and the /opt/eclipse/plugins/net.rim.ejde.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.21/components

for BlackBerry tools and /opt/WTK2.5.2 for the rest
