Re: how do i go about loading a program onto my phone?

Most developers use javaloader to put the COD file on the device during development.

This utility is shipped with the JDE (check the /bin directory).

The devcie is connected to the PC with the USB programming cable.

Example:

javaloader -u load myprogram.cod

Be advised that you also have to install the BB Desktop program that is appropriate for you device, in order to get the correct USB device drivers loaded for the connection.

RexDoug suggestion is the easiest way. but if you still want to push through with your OTA, check your dev guide. it is written there what you need to add to the http.conf of your webserver and you need to upload *.cod, *.jad, *.jar of your applications.

RexDoug, while JavaLoader is great tool to load application on device (especially for Desktop Manager victims) but application loaded through Javaloader doesn't gets listed in Options -> Advance Options -> Applications

Instead of passing COD file, pass the JAD file name and you will be able to see under Applications.

@muke80

it doesn't matter if it get's listed or not. during development, what you need is a fast deployment which is not the case for desktop manager. cheers!
