Re: how to check the double click on a button

track the time of a click, check the difference to the first click.

Re: how to check the double click on a button

This is complicated by the fact the Button will normally drive any listener, so to do this you will have to override Button's navigationClick() method.  Then you will have to start a Timer Thread, which will do the normal processing of the click should the user NOT click twice.

You might have to do the same in touchEvent().  This will be more difficult - I think Buttons actually process on UNCLICK, so hopefully you can do this in navigationClick() for both touch and non touch devices.

But double click is not used normally in BlackBerry - not even in BB10,  As far as I am aware it is not used in other phones either.  Are you sure this is a good thing to implement?  Might it not just confuse experience BlackBerry users?
