how to determine if another application has been started from your application

I am running a recording application... while recording i switch from this application to the blackberries inbuilt voice recorder and start recording in that voice record app of blackberry... so i want the recording in my app to get saved when the inbuilt voice recorder gets started.... can anybody help....

you can use applicationmanager to get a list of running applications, you would have to check these periodically.

If you think you can get away with it - you can save whenever you go into the background.  Override the Application deactivate() method if you want to detect this.
