interval of location provider

[ Edited ]

From here I found that we can set interval of locationProvider by some integer value in seconds. If we give zero, it will use default value. I want to know what is the default value? Is there any way by which I can read gps in every 0.5 second interval or something like that?

Thanks

Re: interval of location provider

to retrieve the location every 0.5 seconds you need to pass 0.5 to the setLocationListener.

What the default value is im not sure my self as i never use it :smileywink:....

Re: interval of location provider

The problem is I can pass only integer value to setLocationListener. So how can I pass 0.5?

Re: interval of location provider

As far as I know, normal GPS chips supply locations at most once per second, so a value of 0.5 would not be useful.

Regarding the OP's first question, how do you know what the default is, sorry can't help there.  I always set the interval based on the requirements of my application.
