invokeLater() and invokeAndWait() ?

Hi all,

Can you explain to me about difference of invokeLater() and invokeAndWait() method?

When should we use invokeLater() and when should we use invokeAndWait() method?

Thank you !

Re: invokeLater() and invokeAndWait() ?

Hi,

Methods invokeLater or invokeAndWait - both of which take a Runnable. Anything in that Runnable’s run method will be executed by the event thread at the next available opportunity.

Difference between the two:

The first method is asynchronous (which means in this case that it returns immediately) the second is synchronous (so waits until your Runnable’s run method is finished before returning).

Thanks & Regards,

Aarti Jain
