not able to change focus when special character is used edit field

Hi,

I have customized an edit field which looks like a text box . It is working fine with all other models but when i tried with the 8100 series type any special character especially @. the edit field get paused can any one tell me what is the reason for the same .

On which OS version are you facing the trouble? And which OS level did it work for you on other devices?
