overriding keyCharUnhandled menu not showing.

I am having a problem when overriding keyCharUnhandled the menu item does not show.

This is what i would like to achive.

public boolean keyCharUnhandled(char key, int status, int time)
	{
		char escape = Characters.ESCAPE;
		if(key == escape)
		{
			// Push new screen
		}
		else
		{
			// Handle as normal
		}
	}

I have read many posts but i can't get the definate answer. Something was said about calling super. But what syntax should i use to do this ?

Regards
