rapc - Error!907: Icon data is too large

Hi all,

As the title says, I just added an icon file to my project (eclispe -> Blackberry project properties -> Resources ->Icon files)

The error I get is -

Error!907: Icon data is too large: 20751 bytes

The size is 20kb.

Is there a limit on the max size of the icon file?

Thanks,

Teja

What are the dimensions of the icon?

Re: rapc - Error!907: Icon data is too large

Oh, I just checked the Icon size - It was 80x80. I've resized it to 64x64, the error doesn't come up now, but the icon doesn't load either.

Have you tried cleaning your project before loading it up to the device/simulator?

Re: rapc - Error!907: Icon data is too large

Yeah, did that too. Now even the 64x64 icon gives the error. Also, eclipse seems to be removing any jars that I've imported from the project everytime I add or delete an icon..

Re: rapc - Error!907: Icon data is too large

It sounds like either project or the BlackBerry plugin install has gone corrupt. Try adding the same icon to a new project and see if it builds. If it does, then its your project. If it doesn't then it may be your workspace.

Try the same in a new workspace. If it fails in the new workspace, you may have to reinstall.
