space on SDCard

hi, to check the total/used/free space of SDCard i use such a code:

try{ _fileConnection = (FileConnection) Connector.open("file:///SDCard/"); long _totalSpace = _fileConnection.totalSize(); long _usedSpace = _fileConnection.usedSize(); long _freeSpace = _totalSpace - _usedSpace; }catch(Exception e){ }

for 1GB i got:

_totalSpace = 1014218752

_usedSpace = 658554880

_freeSpace = 355663872

in what this is? cause for sure not in bytes..

How can you be sure that this is not in bytes?

It is in bytes ..

1024 bytes = 1 KB

1048576 bytes = 1 MB

1073741824 bytes = 1 GB

It is right, however actual bytes varies in some thousands...

Cheers..

Edit: Grammatical Fix..
