there is not so many changes from MDS Studio 1.1 to 2.0 beta.
Help does not contain information about how to call to Java applications from mds studio.

As commented above, I assume the NDA no longer applies now that The Beta 2 is public, but help does contain information on calling Java, MDS and PIM applications from MDS apps. Search for System.exec and there is a lot of interesting new stuff.

I reinstall de plugin and now i can see the help contents. system.exec has been improbed, i also see that editbox and other controls have an onKey event and javascript editor now understand javascript objects like dates or numbers operations.
I see that some information is still not accesible from mds aplications, for example, i don't understand why DeviceInfo does not have information about radio¡¡
Anyway i think that mds aplication are a very good platform to deploy BB aplications.
Regards.

JS Date objects and number operations always worked, they were just not code highlighted in 1.1. In fact most "pure" JS code worked fine. It just wasn't documented except to say ECMA script 3 (I think it is 3) compliant.
You can call a Java program, or have a Java program call MDS applications (needs MDS Runtime 4.5). You can also pass in params to them (simple strings I believe, check the help).
The main new additions are from a developer who has used 1.1 for a longgggg time:
- Eclipse (yeh!)
- LBS (or GPS)
- Ability to control the other apps (email, cal, etc)
- Mandatory fields on the BB (although this is not programmable so is of little use to me right now)
- Call (or be called) a Java program

I have download the plugin for visual studio 2.0. But when I am trying to install this in my pc, its give error
"Error 1335, The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."
I have checked the exe file size(shows 208 MB). Can you plz help me to figure out this problem....
