10.1 Beta (10.1.0.807) Update native SDK fails

HELP !!!

just uninstalled 10.1 Beta 1 and installed 10.1 Beta 2

now I'm having

10.1.0.807 SDK

as next I wanted to add all the SDK's I need to develop and deploy 10.0 apps

so I clicked "Update native SDK" - but the list is EMPTY

this worked with beta 1 and now I'm lost

Re: 10.1 Beta (10.1.0.807) Update native SDK fails

it still doesn't work for me,

but I found a workaround:

from my previous installation (thx to osx timemachine) I copied the selected files and folders into the beta2 installation:

missed_sdks.png

now I can use these older SDKs inside the Beta2 IDE :smileyhappy:

it seems that Momentics IDE simply scans the bbndk folder for bbndk_env_xxx.sh files and needs the corresponding host and target folders.

Re: 10.1 Beta (10.1.0.807) Update native SDK fails

This is by design.  We are not supporting the mix of gold and beta SDKs.  The release notes do currently imply otherwise, but they will be updated to reflect this soon.

Beta SDKs can be used for early testing.  The gold releases should be used for building final release versions of your products.

Note that you can install the 10.0 gold and 10.1 beta BlackBerry Native SDKs on the same computer.

this is a huge change between 10.1 beta and 10.2 beta

think many have uninstalled 10.0 gold before installing 10.1 beta

so I should not use the 10.1 IDE with 10.0 SDK's ?

we were told before that this is allowed

The direction changed in regards to mixing beta and gold SDKs.  They will now be kept separate.

:smileysad:

liked the much better behaviour of QML editor in 10.1 IDE
