Re: Add page before splash screen

Hi,
That's not possible. Splash screen is shown while the app loads.
Which type of page do you want to add before splashscreen?

Re: Add page before splash screen

Hi zmey,

Actually i have two splash screens,

first one is app version screen and second one is splash screen.

This app version screen  will appear first during first install before the splash screen with time intervals. first one displays 1.5 sec and second one displays 1.5 sec.

Re: Add page before splash screen

The splash screen image can be set only once and cannot be changed programmatically. Alas, it's not possible to show it only for the first install.

Optionally, you can detect if the app version has changed and show another screen related to the new version AFTER the initial splash screen.

Also, I don't think that delaying a startup time of the app is a good idea, but if you want to keep the splash screen for longer time, this can be done by showing a page with image identical to splash screen right after application startup and dismissing that page on timer event.

Re: Add page before splash screen

It's worth noting that all the splash screen is is an image that is displayed before the app proper is loaded. The idea is really to have it visible for as little time as possible, doing things like deferred loading of components to achieve this.

I wouldn't count on, or try and force a user to see the splash screen at all.

Do you really want to waste the user's time with 3 seconds of unskippable screens? Users don't really like that.  You may want to just do a quick toast on the main screen, if you just want to show the user what version they are running.
