All Aboard the BlackBerry 10 Port-A-Thon - Questions

Hi,

I'm having some questions. We are preparing our Apps for the Event.

http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/12/all-aboard-blackberry-10-port-a-thon/

1) Timing of Submissions

-is it by the upload time of the file, or the creation of the app template?

2) "Develop a new application or port an existing app from any other OS besides BlackBerry 10 to the BlackBerry 10 OS using BlackBerry Webworks SDK or BlackBerry Native SDK, or Cascades for BlackBerry 10. The more you port and build, the greater your rewards*:"

vs.

"Q. I have an application that is not currently for sale in BlackBerry App World, and is not available on BlackBerry PlayBook. Am I eligible for this Port-A-Thon?

A. No..."

If we port a BlackBerry Java App to Backberry10, does it qualify?

Kind regards

Peter

Re: All Aboard the BlackBerry 10 Port-A-Thon - Questions

yes, it would be great to get any reply about that (2), as the added FAQ in the blog entry is the complete opposite of the Terms & Conditions and the decription in the blog entry beginning.

I tried to contact anyone through Twitter and the devblog contact page, but never received a reply to this topic...

about (1) I think, that important is the time, when you create and upload the file for BB10...

I mean, if you already have, let's say a PlayBook app in the App World, and now port it to BB10, you shouldn't be needed to create a new content item in the App World, as this is logical nonsense... (without creating a new content item you wouldn't be able to submit a ported app, when you continue this thought and this would be strange in a Port-A-Thon :smileywink: )

1) upload / submission time of the app

2) yes.  FAQ + T's & C's updated to reflect that
