BB10 crypto APIs

Hello all,

I am having problems understanding where to even begin with the crypto libraries/apis on the bb10 platform. This link http://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/core/crypto_libref/topic/intro.html doesn't even provide an adequate explanation much less of a guide/how-to. Please is there anyone that can help? Basically i need to load a .cer file, get the public key and then verify some data received from a http response.

Re: BB10 crypto APIs

Yes there is not a lot on this subject presently.

Do a search for encryption (aes) in this forum and a couple of threads will come up with some example code of how to start.

Re: BB10 crypto APIs

Hi,

To load a certificate - at this time - I'd use the OpenSSL libraries.

I'd then use the Certicom libraries to work with the certificate.

I'll put this in my todo list for my public crypto sample.
