BlackBerry 10 Simulator resize issues.

Hey, I just recently installed the BlackBerry native SDK and simulator to go along with it. As other users have previously mentioned, the resolution of the simulator is way to high to fit comfortably on screen. However they pointed me towards 'fixes' that would allow a resize. Such a fix was running the controller app and changing the zoom level. However, when I try this it does absolutely nothing.

I'm on Ubuntu and I'm running the simulator in SafeMode. I have an intel hd 3000 (maybe 4000) and a Nvidia 650M. The Nvidia card however cannot run the simulator (long story involving lack of Linux support for optimus) so I'm forced to run off of the Intel card.

Everything works great except this much needed feature. I tried other options in the Controller app and was able to successfully complete a few (changing the battery level and volume controls) but options that change the display such as oreintation and brightness do not work just like the zoom level.

My own insight to this problem is the fact I'm running it in Safe mode. However that really is my only option because if I try running it in the normal one I just get a freeze on the screen with all the text.

I'm not sure if I posted this in the right location, so let me know if I made a mistake! Thanks.

Are you sure the controller connects to the simulator?

Yeah, as I said, I can change the battery level.

Re: BlackBerry 10 Simulator resize issues.

Adding in support for zooming while in safe mode is on our list of features to implement, but sadly you can't zoom while in safemode right now.

Does Nvidia have a set of linux drivers for the 650M series?

Re: BlackBerry 10 Simulator resize issues.

They do, but they are extremely bad. Which is why I use Bumblebee to gain access to the card. Sadly however you can't start VMPlayer with Bumblebee. So I'm stuck on in Safemode. I'm glad to hear you are implementing it eventually haha. Thanks for the help!
