Hello,

is there a tablet version of BlackBerry 10 dev alpha simulator?

The one available here https://developer.blackberry.com/develop/simulator/simulator_installing.html

is only for phones.

However here https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/using_the_bb10_simulator_2008466_11.html

a tablet version is shown on screen shots. Where can I get it?

There is not, because BB10 has not been adapted to the tablets yet.

RIM has said there will be a beta of BB10 for the tablets some time after the launch of BB10 on the phones (possibly several months). At that time we would expect to see the first BB10-for-PlayBook simulator as well.

I have a few more questions though.

Why is there no back button in simulator? When I go to the settings there's no possible way to go back to home screen.

It seems that Momentics IDE can't find dev alpha simulator.

I have development mode enabled but I can't even ping dev alpha simulator using its development address.

Everything works fine with 2.0 tablet simulator.

Any solutions?

I used 'auto discover' and it found simulator. However when I try to run application this error occurs:

Furthermore simulator starts up fine 1 in 100 times.

Now it's like 50% chance that simulator will be stuck on "Start service: screen" and 50% that it will load correctly but then show nothing but black screen. I guess there's no solution for this since many people have the same problem.

Maybe the simulator doesn't have the "tutorial" screen.

drag upwards from the blank area below the "screen" in the simulator, just like you would on the phone.

Thanks for help, however I think that I have to give up.

Simulator loads fine 1 out of 100 tries, and I have to restart it very often, otherwise I get this error:

I've managed to run my app on simulator a few times, but I have to spend a few hours everytime to make it work once.

There's a playbook giveaway for developers for 5 games published on bb store in my country, but it seems that it'll be too hard to do so without having a bb device.

Is the app closed when you try to launch it from the IDE?

Simulator was launched just before I tried to run app on it.

IDE detects simulator properly with its IP.
