Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator Uninstall?

I feel a bit embarrassed to ask this, but how do I uninstall the Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator on Windows? There seems to be no uninstall feature for it... Is it simply a case of deleting the VM files that were copied into C:\Users\Pete\Documents\Virtual Machines?

My six-year old laptop can't run the VM (no 3D acceleration support), so the simulator is useless for me.

Thanks,

Pete

Do you see it listed in your Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs?

Re: Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator Uninstall?

Hi, unfortunately not. Only the NDK and BlackBerry Device Manager appear there.

My guess is that the installer is just a vessel for copying the needed VM files into the "Documents\Virtual Machines" directory, but I'm not sure on this point.

I could just go ahead and delete those files and then my question would become "what additional files are installed by the Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator on my system?"

Re: Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator Uninstall?

Hey Lester,

Im about 99% confident that the only thing that the Dev Alpha Simulator installs is the "BlackBerry10Simulator-BB10_0_04" folder that should be in your virtual machines folder (if you installed to the defalt location).

Re: Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator Uninstall?

Hey Lester,

Bryce is correct in his response that the Dev Alpha Simulator installer will just extract the BlackBerry10Simulator-Installer-BB10_0_04 simulator into your Virtual Machines folder. Deleting your C:\Users\Pete\Documents\Virtual Machines folder will delete the simulator install.
